BROTHA SCIENCE KICKS THA KNOWLEDGE

RACE MATTERS
_____________________

BLOND HAIRED MAN WITH DARK HAIRED WOMEN

QUESTION:   "I am married to a gal with very dark eyes and hair. She said she was always turned on by that look, as I am by her darkness. We were wondering if opposites really do attract so we are joking/kidding if any other couples are like us...And yes color has nothing to do with love etc etc., just wondering what others' preferences are."

BROTHA SCIENCE SAYS:

This is an intriguing occurrence in a nation with demographics in America and other Western nations, with their teeming cities and multicultural mixes.
There are actually not that many race-mixers proportionally, it just seems that way because we try not to stare, and by so doing make it even more noticeable. But distinct groups arose because the vast majority of humanity prefers their own kind!
Consider that in America with over 300 million people there will be a significant portion who are attracted to those who are very different from themselves. Go on any online dating site and there are those who specifically state they want someone of a different race.

The most brazen of these hussies even place it on their online names:
(My own rather tame OBC profile is kevwalker by the way. Hit me up -- I don't discriminate!!)

The others are Walkernet_AT_Gee_Mal, on http://friendjungle.com , and "Mindful1" on http://BlackPeopleMeet.com ).
I studied Pre-Med Biology, and there is something called Hybrid Vigor. When two dissimilar groups mate, be they plants, barnyard animals or people, they often express the strengths of both and it has an evolutionary advantage. (The Northeast Africans, or the Egyptians by their Greek name, carried this to an extreme among their ruling classes, mating within close family lines).
Consider these examples of human hybrid beauty between the European and African Descended races:
  •  Alicia Keys
  •  Vanessa Williams
  •  Mariah Carey
  •  Ann Curry, NBC Today Show
  •  Jessica Alba
  •  Irene Cara, actress ("Fame")
  •  Lenny Kravitz
  •  Shemar Moore (CBS "Criminal Minds")
  •  Sen. Barack Obama
  •  Derek Jeter [NY baseball player in the Superbowl commercial - see it on http://firebrand.com )
And so forth.

Some peoples place a high value on racial purity. The Japanese are one such culture, they think we're crazy. Multiculturalism. Integration. Bah!

We Americans though proudly proclaim our status as mutts, and hold that up as a strength of our nation. Its even on our coinage: "E Pluribus Unum," Latin for "From out of Many, we are One"

With the demographic changes in America such as the high Latino birthrate, the fact that Asian women are the most prone to marry outside their race, the tendency for experimentation all combined with the natural rebelliousness of the young, means the race-mixing is going to continue and increase.

In time it may even become the norm, with those who don't perhaps thought of as clannish/Klan-ish, stodgy, and weird. --kjw

Black History Month?

"Okay - I don't consider myself a racist AT ALL. I live in Chicago where it's pretty diverse and I have friends of all types. I just don't understand why the African-American community gets to have an entire month dedicated to them. Plus a college fund, Miss America Pagents, etc.
"Because I know if we had a White History month to dedicate, Caucasian's would be considered racist, and immoral. Or we booted out all the African-Americans in our Miss America Pagents - We would be racist. Or if we had college funds just for whites, that would be immoral.
    I just don't understand.
And I'm not talking just about a White History Month - What about Native Americans? Or something to that effect...
    IDK. Thoughts and comments?"

BROTHA SCIENCE SAYS:

Dear Emily, I encourage you in your continued quest for knowledge and I would like the other respondents to cut her some slack, please, and halt the name calling.

Emily, you remind me of me, and if you look at my pictures at http://community.webshots.com/user/travelgriot  you see I have gone far and wide in search of answers.
Carter G. Woodson started Negro History Week in the 1930s, and he was asked "are you sure there is enough for a whole week?!"
Considering that African Descended are the oldest people on the planet, there is no way to accurately plumb the depths of our history. Africa is a gigantic continent; America would fit into its Sahara Desert with room to spare. And this doesn't include those African Descended who left out early, settled and explored other lands, which is where all the other races including yours came from.
The "Black Irish" existed well before the Spanish Armada, and may have been from pre-Ice Age explorers who came up through the narrow point by where Spain almost touches Africa. An article on Pre-Columbian African explorers to the Americas is on my yahoo 360 blog.
I have a series that I rerun every History Month titled "Where Do White People Come From? It will be up on my 360.yahoo.com blog later today. Its something different, as Whites aren't used to being studied; its supposed to be off limits or something.
It is common for a member of the ruling group to question when those whom they have subjugated wish to assert themselves. They seem to be so, well, pushy, and want things to change too fast. They're clannish and try to stay within their own kind; when they're not trying to insert themselves into the Larger Society. It seems they can't win!
In fact, as recent as the 1970s a group of accomplished Anthropologists wrote a letter to the major beauty pageants saying that because African Descended (the new name for a few years) were racially different in bone structure, et cetera, they shouldn't be allowed to compete with the European Descended.
If you want to see more of this sort of thing and see the truly pathological pathetic racists, use Yahoo search for White Aryan Resistance (WAR); the "Turner Diaries;" Randy Weaver the Pacific Northwest martyred White Separatist survivalist who along with his pregnant wife was killed by federal thugs (yeah, I said it); or the Christian Identity churches. These are the groups that the too soon executed Oklahoma City federal building bomber Timothy McVeigh and his pals hail from.
Exclusion from the larger society drove many such as the Italians and Irish to form their own groups, country clubs, and financial institutions. In New Orleans in the early 1900s the immigrant Italian merchants were told by racist Whites to stop trading with Blacks.
When they refused the Italians were collectively lynched, and hung for display in the center of downtown. Reparations were paid to the widows and families, and in the last few years apologies were made again to commemorate the event.
The Italian Exclusion Act by Congress of the 1920s was to limit the swarthy hordes of Southern Europeans of the Mediterranean persuasion from populating America.
Margaret Sanger, co-founder of the American Eugenist movement, and creator of the racist and genocidal group Planned Parenthood was a pal of Hitler, and heartily approved of his plans to ethnically cleanse the planet of the genetically unworthy in the 1930s when another wave of immigrants was affecting America.
Sanger's PP centers were placed near urban slums and ghettos so as to "treat" people of colour and poverty-prone Whites. Their modern spin-off is the Ernest Guttmacher Institute, which rails against "overpopulation," which usually translates as "too many brown skinned people being born."
Ironically, at the same time the dreadful Tuskegee Syphilis Experiments were designed in Alabama where generations of Black men (and their fiances, wives, and families) were deliberately left untreated to see the effects of long-term exposure to the disease. The heritage of this is an understandable distrust of medical and research institutions, including organ transplant programs!
This is to point out that there are many peoples who are a part of African American History Month, and there are many others.
During the Revolutionary war the Polish general Tadeous Kosciusko(sp) hated the institution of Enslavement and in his will directed his estate to continue to purchase and set up financially as many of the formerly enslaved as possible. For this reason there is a town in Mississippi that bears his name where they settled.
President James Monroe did what Lincoln ultimately rejected: he sent boatloads of kidnapped Africans back to the continent and set up the nation of Liberia. They named their largest cities after he and his wife. (The capital is Monrovia).
This is getting long; visit my blogs and other websites for the full treatment. --kjw

Are Bi-racial People Black?
I'm bi-racial, mom is black, dad is white. Being from inglewood CA i'm exposed to a lot of different cultures but main "issue" is being classed as just one race...usually black.
I'm very proud of my heritage my mom is the most beautiful woman in the world, and i mean that and my dad is amazing i love him. People assume that i am just "light skinned" and have "good hair" another phrase i hate but thats another question.
How do you see bi-racial people? do you still use the one drop rule?
BROTHA SCIENCE SAYS:

Societally speaking there seems to be no such thing as Bi-Racialism. This is another of those made-up concepts such as "Hispanic," which I defy anyone not a historian to ell me what that means, and who the Hispanics are. But I digress.

The term "biracial" is trotted out when it is to the convenience of those in power. Particularly, when there was a shortage of healthy White babies in the 1980s before the dissolution of the USSR, they would condescend to take the spawn of hapless young White girls and their Black lovers.

To make their racism less apparent they just reclassified the children as biracial, as if there was such a thing.

They basically repealed their own "One Drop" rule, which was in legal effect in the state of Louisiana until the 1980s, about the time the Apartheid regime in South Africa repealed their own. White people set great store on who Whites are, which is the reason they fell upon European Jews with such fury during WWII. Not White enough, but dangerously similar so a little house cleaning/ethnic cleansing was in order.

Hardly anyone will talk about the reasons why Caucasians hate Jews so much, and it has little to do with Christianity (Yeshua was a Jew, you know). Race consciousness is at the core of their hatred, and their profound self-hatred. Of course, I have a series on it, the Genocide one.

Are Arabs, Spaniards, Central Americans, Hebrews, Mediterraneans, et cetera "Biracial?" They are a racial amalgam that is evolving before our eyes.

The short answer is no, you don't have the right to choose your race. It has already been chosen for you, and Whiteness is something that is bestowed by not having any Blackness in you.

But this is all good, because White people hate Black people because White people aren't Black. Their inferiority complex is quite strong which is why they act the way they do. ANCIENT EXPLORATIONS OF THE TRAVEL GRIOT

· ¿Where There Pre-Colombian African Wayfarers To The Americas? ·
¿What About The The 'Black Irish' and Brownies?'
• The African-Celtic Connection In The North Atlantic

Cristoforo Colombo was a latecomer, as a newly released study confirms there is tantalizing archeological and linguistic evidence that African explorers in antiquity may have reached parts of the Americas from the Carolinas to Brazil.

We explore some of these suppositions, as well as legends of "Brownies" in Ireland that may have been a First Contact between Africans and their long ago lost brethren who lost their dark skins, broad noses and wooly hair during their sojourn in Ice Age Europe.

Included is an article posted by Reuters News Service on the Internet just as the finishing touches were being placed on this article on Ancient explorers to the Americas. It just further ratifies what many researchers have observed as mounting evidence shows this continent was criss-crossed by many different peoples over millennia.

The following article was posted by Reuters News Service on the Internet just as the finishing touches were being placed on this article on Ancient explorers to the Americas. It just further ratifies what many researchers have observed as mounting evidence shows this continent was criss-crossed by many different peoples over millennia:

Experts doubt Clovis people were first in Americas

By Will Dunham Thu Feb 22, 6:42 PM ET Reuters Limited The Clovis people, known for their distinctive spear points, likely were not the first humans in the Americas, according to research placing their presence as more recent than previously believed.

Using advanced radiocarbon dating techniques, researchers writing in the journal Science on Thursday said the Clovis people, hunters of large Ice Age animals like mammoths and mastodons, dated from about 13,100 to 12,900 years ago. That would make the Clovis culture, known from artifacts discovered at various sites including the town of Clovis, New Mexico, both younger and shorter-lived than previously thought.

Previous estimates had dated the culture to about 13,600 years ago. These people long had been seen as the first humans in the New World, but the new dates suggest their culture thrived at about the same time or after others also in the Americas.

Michael Waters, director of Texas A&M University's Center for the Study of the First Americans, called the research the final nail in the coffin of the so-called "Clovis first" theory of human origins in the New World. Waters said he thinks the first people probably arrived in the Americas between 15,000 and 25,000 years ago.

"We've got to stop thinking about the peopling of the Americas as a singular event," Waters said in an interview. "And we have to start now thinking about the peopling of the Americas as a process, with people coming over here, probably arriving at different times, maybe taking different routes and coming from different places in northeast Asia."

Waters and co-author Thomas Stafford, a radiocarbon dating expert, tested samples from various Clovis archeological sites to try to get a more accurate accounting of their age. Technological advances enabled them to more precisely pinpoint dates for some Clovis sites excavated in North America.

The theory has been that the Clovis people first migrated out of northeast Asia across the Bering land bridge from Siberia into Alaska and traveled through a ice-free corridor into North America, populating that continent while their descendants journeyed into South America.

Asked who were the first people in the Americas if not the Clovis, Waters answered, "That's a good question." "I think that's what we've got to work toward -- a new model for the peopling of the Americas, and I think we need to create a coherent model that's based on genetic data, geological evidence as well as archeological data."

________________________________

The idea of seafaring Africans exploring Europe, let alone the Americas, is something that traditional scientists don't give much credence. (Aside from the willful ignorance that the Phoenicians weren't North Africans, whose influence spread to our linguistic constructs, hence the name "Phonics").

But the close-minded historians or propagandists can't ignore what has been shown to be pervasive bi-coastal evidence of contact, as the Americas were traversed by many ancient explorers. Some stayed, some just got a peek, took some notes and specimens back, and left.

After the Ice Age ended that blanketed Europe in a mile-high and thick sheet of glacial ice, explorations north and south commenced with force. The "Black Irish" stories may be far older than the shipwrecked Spanish Armada in the 1800s that was said to be the source of dark-haired, dark skinned Irelanders.

The Celtic stories of "the Brownies" of the British Isles who have been given short shrift by the concentration on seemingly related magical Leprechauns, may have been the recordings of their culture encountering the first waves of exploring and migrating Africans who traversed the Straits of Gibraltar, or sailed from Western Africa.

The cryptic stories of antiquity have fueled many speculations, but also left many clues:

• There is a curious settlement remnant in the Carolinas that is said to contain pre-Slavery "Negroid bones" and armour

• Lost Settlements of various types are spoken of, including a tribe of red-haired Caucasian-resembling savages in the south American jungle. They may have been the remnants of a failed outpost who devolved into barbarism after losing contact with their European colonial bosses

• The large Olmec Heads of Mexico are undoubtedly depictions of flat-nosed, thick-lipped African explorers carved into boulders by tribes not known for their fanciful art; they tended to depict what they actually saw, like their versions of photographs.

• There have been coins and beadwork found in South and central America that have analogs in Western Africa, with tribal stories on both ends of not only contact, but trade that continued for years

In fact, its little known but the explorer Christofo Columbus was earlier posted in Africa where he supposedly came upon this knowledge, including the Central American coins and artifacts, which he used to convince the Queen and King of Spain to back his quest.

This is what really set him upon his search of the land that he was all but certain was across the vast ocean to the West. He thought it was the long-sought Sea Route to India, hence the enduring misnomer of the aboriginal peoples they encountered.

¿WAS GULF CURRENT ANCIENT SEA FREEWAY?

Interestingly, the stories of African Sailors coincides neatly with the known Gulf ocean currents that exchange the warm waters from South America up along the Eastern seaboard north to Ireland, and down again back to western Africa. This is phenomenon is also the spawning ground of Atlantic hurricanes, fed by the warm waters to the south where the sun is more stronger. All of our strong Atlantic hurricanes form from winds off the coast of Western Africa.

This is a "Free Energy "conducting system for sailors, although its a long way around. Its called the Humboldt Current.

In the global climactic disaster movie "The Day After Tomorrow" with Dennis Quaid and a pre-"Brokeback Mountain" Jake Gyllenhaal, this warm ocean current energy exchange was shut off, leading to the freezing of Europe which is kept much warmer by it despite its northern latitude. That last part is a fact; in my science studies we were told of this phenomenon.

Meanwhile, the Chinese in the early 1400s were also sending out expeditions and getting in on a piece of the action. Their extensive archives hold information about encountering a land far to the East that researchers have said point to landmarks in northern California, thanks to their detailed notations.

If you want to see something interesting, go search online and pull up a detailed map of northern California and Oregon. Many of the smaller settlements have Russian names! They came across the narrow Bering Straight across from Alaska, which they'd settled, and drifted southward to northern Oregon and points beyond.

This is an example of how contacts between peoples can be traced by place names, and terms for common items.

The Americas had long been traversed by many different peoples, over several millennia. Crossing the Bering Strait from Russian Siberia to Alaska wasn't an activity that was stopped when the Asiatic explorers chanced it during the various Ice Ages.
